BBQ Chicken Wraps

These BBQ Chicken Wraps are an easy, satisfying lunch or dinner made with tender shredded chicken tossed in smoky barbecue sauce and creamy ranch dressing. Wrapped in soft sun-dried tomato tortillas with crisp lettuce, red onion, juicy tomatoes, and melted cheddar or Colby-Jack cheese, they are quick to assemble and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • ¾ cup prepared BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup prepared ranch dressing
  • 4 (10-inch) sun-dried tomato flour tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Thinly sliced red onions
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Shredded cheddar or Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Make the BBQ chicken: Add the cooked shredded chicken to a large bowl. Pour in the BBQ sauce and ranch dressing and stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Warm the tortillas: Briefly warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and flexible.
  3. Build the wraps: Place a portion of the BBQ chicken in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, sliced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar or Colby-Jack cheese.
  4. Roll the wraps: Fold the sides of each tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling.
  5. Serve: Serve the wraps immediately, or lightly toast them in a skillet for a warm, crisp exterior.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken or leftover roasted chicken works especially well for this recipe.
  • Choose your favorite BBQ sauce to adjust the sweetness and smoky flavor.
  • Warm tortillas before filling to make them easier to roll without tearing.
  • Do not overfill the tortillas, or they may be difficult to close.
  • Add sliced avocado, corn, jalapeños, cucumber, or shredded carrots for extra flavor and crunch.
  • For a spicier wrap, use a spicy BBQ sauce or add a few dashes of hot sauce.
  • For meal prep, keep the lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce separate until serving to help prevent soggy tortillas.
  • Store leftover BBQ chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
