Ingredients

  • 2 bagels
  • 3½ oz smoked salmon (100 grams)
  • 2½ oz full-fat cream cheese (70 grams)
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped
  • 1 Persian cucumber
  • ¼ cup sliced red onions or pickled red onions
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the bagels in half horizontally and toast them to your preferred level of crispness.
  2. Spread the cream cheese evenly over the cut sides of the toasted bagels.
  3. Sprinkle the cream cheese with the finely chopped fresh dill and capers.
  4. Arrange the smoked salmon evenly over the cream cheese.
  5. Thinly slice the Persian cucumber and add it to the bagels.
  6. Top with sliced red onions or pickled red onions.
  7. Drizzle a few drops of lemon juice over the smoked salmon and vegetables.
  8. Season with freshly ground black pepper and a small pinch of salt.
  9. Place the top halves of the bagels over the filling and serve immediately.
