Garlic Butter Chicken Bites

These Garlic Butter Chicken Bites are quick, juicy, and packed with savory flavor. Bite-sized chicken breast is seasoned with Italian herbs and smoked paprika, seared until golden, then finished in a rich garlic butter sauce. They make an easy weeknight dinner and pair well with rice, pasta, vegetables, or crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1¼–1½ pounds total), cut into 1-inch bite-size pieces
  • ¾ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning blend
  • ¾ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Place them in a bowl and toss with the Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 3–4 minutes per side, turning as needed, until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  4. Add the butter and garlic: Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt around the chicken. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30–60 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Toss the chicken bites in the garlic butter sauce for another 1–2 minutes, making sure each piece is well coated.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from the heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Cut the chicken into evenly sized pieces so they cook at the same rate.
  • Pat the chicken dry before seasoning to help it develop a better golden-brown crust.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet. Cook in batches if needed for the best sear.
  • Add the garlic after the chicken has browned to prevent it from burning.
  • Always cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve these chicken bites with rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days and reheat gently.
