Chicken Avocado Wrap Recipe

This easy Chicken Avocado Wrap is a quick, filling meal made with tender cooked chicken, creamy avocado, cheddar cheese, and a light Greek yogurt spread wrapped in a hearty whole grain tortilla. It’s packed with protein and healthy fats, making it a convenient choice for lunch, dinner, or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 480g cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded (120g per wrap)
  • 1 large avocado (200g total, about 50g per wrap)
  • 4 whole grain or high-protein tortillas (aim for about 8g protein each)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (about 20g each)
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt or light mayonnaise
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice or shred the cooked chicken breast and set aside.
  2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice the flesh.
  3. Lay the tortillas flat and spread about 1/2 tablespoon of Greek yogurt or light mayonnaise over each tortilla.
  4. Divide the cooked chicken evenly among the four tortillas.
  5. Add one slice of cheddar cheese and about 50g of sliced avocado to each wrap.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add fresh parsley or cilantro if desired.
  7. Fold in the sides of each tortilla, then roll tightly into a wrap.
  8. Serve immediately, or lightly toast the wraps in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until warm and lightly golden.

Notes

  • Use leftover roasted or grilled chicken to make this recipe even quicker.
  • Greek yogurt adds a creamy texture while keeping the wrap light.
  • For meal prep, keep the avocado separate until ready to eat to help prevent browning.
  • You can add lettuce, tomato, cucumber, or spinach for extra freshness.
