Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps

Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are a quick and satisfying meal made with tender garlic-seasoned chicken, colorful bell peppers, fresh greens, and plenty of melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Everything is wrapped in a soft flour tortilla for an easy lunch or dinner the whole family can enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers, mixed red and yellow
  • 1 cup fresh spinach or lettuce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or basil

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into small bite-size pieces for easier cooking and wrapping.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and dried oregano or basil.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
  4. Add the minced garlic and diced bell peppers. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant and the peppers are slightly tender.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the chicken mixture. Cover the skillet for 1–2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
  6. Warm the flour tortillas briefly in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and easy to fold.
  7. Place fresh spinach or lettuce in the center of each tortilla. Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture over the greens.
  8. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly into a wrap.
  9. For a crispier wrap, place the assembled wraps seam-side down in a skillet over medium heat and toast for 1–2 minutes per side.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Cut the chicken into evenly sized pieces so it cooks at the same rate.
  • Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • You can use spinach, romaine, or another sturdy lettuce depending on preference.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika, chili flakes, or Italian seasoning.
  • Do not add the fresh greens until just before serving to keep them crisp.
  • For meal prep, store the cooked chicken mixture separately from the tortillas and greens, then assemble when ready to eat.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
